bluWave debuts plans to build crew facility in Las Vegas
Las Vegas, NV — bluWave Airlines, Inc. announced this morning that it has secured plans with the City of Las Vegas to build its first crew facility outside of Las Vegas McCarran International Airport starting in August 2012. The facility will be located across from its main training facility on East Diablo Avenue, adjacent from its maintenance hangar on Haven Street.

“We are very excited to build a facility that can further support our pilots and increase the standard of their employment,” said COO Johnathon Neilsen. “This airline consists of very experienced, loyal crew members that are at the heart of our operation. It’s crucial that we treat them with respect and provide them with a comfortable living environment during long layovers.”
Once the facility is opened to the airline’s employees, it will allow crew members to be housed at a lower cost (versus housing them in hotels in cities across the country). Although crew facilities won’t be located at each of bluWave’s destinations, it has been said that, with the creation of this facility alone, the company will save an exuberant amount in travel expenses each year.
Improved quarterly reports have also been playing a key factor in recent operational tactics, according to a reputable source. President and CEO Connor Levens stated this morning that the investment along East Diablo Avenue is “particularly important” because it’s the airline’s first major expense without any contribution from one of the company’s half-dozen investors.
“In the past, at least one of our investors needed to contribute to one of our plans to acquire land, office space, or equipment,” Levens told the press. “Given our recent financial performance, that isn’t necessary.”
The 6-storey building will be equipped with enough living space for six (6) crews each night and is only intended for use during overnight layovers. Other bluWave employees who plan to work in this facility include ramp agents, on-site maintenance technicians, and meteorologists. Construction is expected to be completed by summer 2013.
